No-needle Bodywork
Acupressure and bodywork can be used in conjunction with acupuncture or as its own modality
Lee-Ana’s bodywork training has developed from a grounding in Tuina (Chinese massage), Qigong (breath and qi exercises), Taiji (slow moving martial art) and traditional Māori bodywork. Tuina and Māori bodywork both use pressure points which is a form of no needle acupuncture or acupressure.
Cupping and Moxa are both techniques that can be used where appropriate as well as work with stone tools.
Various techniques may be used, from light relaxation, qi or energy work to deep tissue work. Qi work may involve work off the body and distance healing is also available - contact Lee-Ana for details.
Simple exercises in breathing, stretching, acupressure etc may be given where particular areas need some self work. Meditation techniques may also be drawn on as needed.
