going with the flow

Water - the element for winter

Work is required by most of us to keep our path clear from obstacles. If we think about water and rivers in this situation, going with the foundational current of life makes things much easier from my experience. We also need to be constantly aware of our surroundings however. By being aware and present we are often able to see on-coming barriers and bends in our path and steer away from them. If obstacles do appear sometimes patience is needed. Water is persistent and patient and always finds a way around or through even the most seemingly solidified structures.

Confrontation might lose it’s power or perhaps is not even necessary if we are willing to see the truth of ourselves within our surroundings before the challenge is met.

Paddle?…No paddle?…It might be nice to cruise without a paddle at times but it’s nice to have one on hand if needed…

Path of least resistance

We all have our blind spots and sometimes we need that time to just sit with whatever is blocking our way to gain greater understanding and peace within. Other times we might be aware enough to see things coming and step out of the direct path before they are towering in front of us. It’s all good as long as you are doing what is right for you at that time…The path of least resistance.
